Cheri

Today was Cheri's fifty-first birthday. My older sister has gray hair, but not a wrinkle or a worry line on her sweet cherubic face. None. What does she have to worry about? Cheri has the mental capacity of a two to four year old. She is paralyzed, in a wheelchair and cannot speak except for a few words like 'no', and 'momma', and 'baby'. She's been this way since she was four and fell ill for no reason that was ever discovered. Cheri is a sweet soul who has taught our family so much.

I'm thankful to have had this angel in my life. I'm grateful to a loving Father in Heaven who has promised us that we will all be made whole one day.
