Water

Today hubby had to work, so I took Ashley and Ally to the pool. Along for the ride came their friend Kylee and my lovable ex-daycare baby, Dillon.

We had such a wonderful time. The water was so warm, and I'd forgotten how sweet it was to hold a little one in the water and play.

I'm thankful we have a pool here to use.

Scriptures

In the morning I arise around five a.m. (Yes, me) I drive The Boy and The Teenager to early morning seminary, where they are taught from the scriptures. I come home and get the two younger girls ready for school. After we've packed the lunches, had breakfast, and combed our hair, we sit down and read aloud from the scriptures together.





We start our day out reading from the word of God. The joy and peace this brings me stays with me throughout the entire day.

Sober

There's something to be said for going through some tough emotional times without having to reach for a bottle to fuzz the edges of my reality, or a bottle of pills to soften the blows that continue to rain down upon me until I wonder if I will be able to get up again.

I often joke about something 'driving me to drink' or 'reaching for the valium', when in reality I don't do either.

The past couple of days have been rough, and if they haven't driven me to drink, nothing will.
