Patience

Today I'm grateful for the patience I've developed over the years. It enabled me not to kill my dog for having somehow found one of the children's stash of chocolates, consumed them (foil wrappers and all), then horking them up in two completely different places on my carpeting.

Patience kept me from killing her, but not from banishing her to the backyard for the day.

BAD Doggy! Bad!

So many things to be thankful for...

I'm grateful for family this time of the year. I'm especially thankful for the unabashed joy on the face of my sister as she gets excited about her favorite holiday, bouncing up and down in her wheelchair as we sing Christmas Carols to her.

I'm thankful for the kindness of my father-in-law, who drove an hour and a half so I didn't miss the family party on Christmas day and another hour and a half (more actually, due to a horrible traffic accident on the freeway) to bring me home.

I'm thankful for the kindness and generosity of family and friends during this time of the year.

I'm thankful for the birth of my Saviour and for the sacrifice He made in my behalf.

Electricity

After having been without power for nearly three days, I'm thankful to finally have it back on. C-c-c-c-c-c-c-cold it was.

Little girls

I'm grateful for little girls, with their sweet smelling necks. When they come in from school, all I want to do is crush them in my arms and breathe them in.

Oh how I love them....

Better living through pharmacueticals

Today I'm grateful for oxycodone. It takes the pain away...far, far away. I'm not fond of the fuzzy feeling it leaves me with, but it's something I accept to dull the pain.

I'm thankful for a loving and understanding husband. And now...back to sleep.

I am so thankful..

In my ponderings of late, I've found that there are times when I concentrate too much on the negative things that happen in my life. It's high time that I spun that around to focus more on the amazing blessings I've been given on a daily basis.

I truly am blessed and this is my way of tracking and remembering how much the Lord has given to me and my family.
